Lean Management Training

2Morrow Solutions can provide on-site training for the fundamentals of Lean Management, in either 3 hour or 1 Day Workshops. Using a simulation of a series of manual processes (typically representing production or office processes) by assembling Lego bricks, the participants are exposed to important principles of Lean Management (i.e. “learning by doing”) and the concepts of Customer Value and Waste Reduction are reinforced through the simulation exercises.  The principles that are introduced are:

• The advantage of physical flow.

• The meaning and importance of bottlenecks.

• Balancing of process times and the use of “customer takt time”.

• Kanban inventory management.

• One Piece Flow

Five “Runs” are conducted in the Workshop, with participants progressively improving each run by changing the Lego simulation process according to the Lean principles introduced between each run.  Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are measured for each run, revealing quantitative improvements during the course of the Workshop.
