Firstly I would like to say I know Michael from our distant university Engineering past. That said, I was approached by QMI Solutions for Michael to come into our business and run various lean manufacturing workshops.  The results were fantastic with great 'buy in' from the shop floor guys, production management and management alike.

The point I would like to make, is that whilst Michael and I may have a lot of similar education and training, sometimes it takes an great external facilitator like Michael to 'inspire' and 'reinvigorate' the workforce and management team.   Put plainly, sometimes companies need a person like Michael to come in with fresh eyes and uncover the strengths and opportunities of the business that lie dormant or are inaccessible to the 'everyday' manager by sheer familiarity.

The 5S programme that Michael facilitated was of particular success and really transformed the physical but also the emotional drive of the factory.
